KCR reviews situation amidst heavy rains
Rains lashed Hyderabad once again completely drowning the city washing away roads in 90% of the areas. Now Telangana CM KCR today alerted the officials to be on their toes to help the people. KCR is currently in New Delhi to attend the Apex Council Meeting with Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharathi, KCR discussed with GHMC and other officials and gave instructions to overcome the problems caused by heavy rains.The situation was grim in some areas of Kukatpally, Miyapur, Nizampet, Qutbullapur, Moosapet, Begumpet, Alwal and other major residential and commercial suburbs of the city.


HC gives shock to Speaker over MLAs disqualification
Telangana Assembly Speaker Madhusudhanachary got shock from the Hyderabad High Court when it directed the speaker to dispose off within 90 days petitions seeking disqualification of rebel legislators of TDP who jumped to the ruling TRS. High Court after hearing to the petition filed by Revanth Reddy of TDP, passed the interim order. Speaker merged 12 rebel MLAs of TDP with the ruling TRS in March. 


Governor Narasimhan gets shock from Rajasthan cop
 Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan got shock when  Rajasthan additional director-general of police Indu Kumar Bhushan, who was on a mid-career training programme at the National Police Academy in Hyderabad started misbehaving with him. The incident happened when Narasimhan was presenting a lecture on administration on Monday morning.  Indu Kumar Bhushan during the question-answer session that followed, Mr Bhushan argued with Mr Narasimhan, stating that he lacked awareness about the RTI Act. Taking serious view academy sent Bhushan back. 


Mild tremor in parts of Hyderabad
Locals in some parts of Hyderabad heard some sounds and Jagadgirigutta, near Kukatpally, experienced a mild tremor measuring 0.9 on the Richter scale at 10.17 pm on Monday. The epi senter was less than 1 km and there was no need to worry according to Dr Srinagesh Davuluri, principal scientist at the seismology observatory, National Geophysical Research Institute. Hyderabad experienced tremor way back in 2010. 


Projects helping KCR's family
T-Congress president Uttamkumar Reddy accused Telangana CM KCR and stated that all the projects and schemes undertaken by the government is only to help the family of KCR. He said “The TRS has not fulfilled any of the promises it made after it came to power 20 months ago. Water Grid and irrigation projects were taken up only for commissions and not for the people,” He asked party leaders to expose T CM KCR's arrogance.

Authenticity of Mudragada’s fast questioned
Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham sometime back sat on indefinite fast demanding reservations for Kapus in BC list. Now Ch. Ramanujaya, Chairman of the State Kapu Corporation speaking to scribes questioned the authensity of Mudragada's fast stating  it was possible for any individual to maintain the blood sugar levels of 120 to 126 even after fasting for one week.


AP CM to operate from Velagapudi in October
AP state secretariat will start functioning full fledged from oct 3 from  its Transitional Headquarters at Velagapudi in the capital region Amaravati. CM Chandra Babu will move to his office chambers officially on Oct 11, on the auspicious day of Vijaya Dasami. Chief Secretary Satya Prakash Tucker issued directions to respective departments to start functioning from forenoon of Oct 3rd at Velagapudi. 


Tirupati declared smart city
People of temple town of Tirupati got delirious when Tirupati was declared smart city by the Union Government. Central Government announced 27 new smart cities and they are spread across 12 states. Amritsar, Agra, Kanpur, Thane, Ajmer, Nagpur and Tirupati have been included in the second phase of the smart cities mission. Employees of Tirupati Municipal Corporation burst firecrackers and distributed sweets. District collector Siddharth Jain and municipal commissioner V. Vinay Chand cut a cake in celebration.


Drunk driving rampant in Vijayawada
Drunk driving seems to be increasing in Vijayawada, business capital of Andhra Pradesh. In a crackdwon police arrested 151 motorists and after breath analysis revealed they were driving under influence of liquor. Police also seized  eight trucks, 13 cars, 16 autos and 114 motorcycles from the offenders.


Package for Vamsadhara 2 oustees demanded on Polavaram lines
Leaders of various opposition parties demanded the government to  Rs. 30 lakh compensation per acre for the persons displaced by the Vamsadhara project on the lines of the Polavaram package. Leaders warned Government that they should not discriminate on the pretext that the Vamsadhara phase-2 project was launched long ago.
