US,Russia fight over Syria at UN Security Council

UN Security Council meet witnessed US and Russia taking Syria battle to new heights. Both shocked all by  trading ferocious allegations of duplicity and malfeasance at the United Nations Security Council. US and Russia  rued the possibility of a darker phase in the conflict amid increased attacks on humanitarian workers. While US Secretary of State Kerry called for all warplanes to halt flights over aid routes,  Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov suggested a possible three-day pause in fighting to get the truce back on track.


China snubs Pak on Kashmir

Right after Pak PM Nawaz Sharif hailed Hizbul Commander Burhan Wani who was encountered in Jammu & Kashmir, at UN General Assembly session, Pakistan establishment and Hurriyat back in J & K celebrated. Their joy knew no bounds with China came in support of Pakistan on all issues. Pakistan's leading dialy Dawn News reported that China endorsed Pakistan stance on Kashmir. However Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lu Kang said when asked about reports that Li extended support to Pakistan's stance on Kashmir said "The issue of Kashmir is an issue left over from history. Our stance on that is consistent. We hope that parties concerned will pursue a peaceful settlement through dialogue,"


Emergency declared in Charlotte, US

Emergency was declared in Charlotte, after deadly police shooting in North Carolina. Protests turned violent after police shot down a black man ans some protestors  banged on glass windows, others threw objects at police and stood on cars as police appeared to fire tear gas. 


Earth quake hits Japan

Japan's main island of Honshu suffered earthquake of 6.1 magnitude in the early hours of Wednesday. The quake had a depth of 33km and occurred nearly 400km (250 miles) from the Izu islands just southeast of Honshu.


Australia says MH 370 debris not exposed to fibre

Boeing 777 Malaysia Airlines plane that disappeared en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014 carrying 239 passengers and crew is turning out to be a mystery. Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB), which is coordinating the search for the Boeing 777 Malaysia Airlines plane said  that it was not yet able to link the pieces to MH370. Earlier American Blaine Gibson brought the two recently recovered items from Madagascar to Australia to be forensically investigated by the ATSB on September 12 and told local media then that one piece appeared to show “some signs of melting… as you see when something is exposed to fire”.

India seek US loan for nuclear reactor

 India is negotiating with US Export-Import Bank for an $8-9 billion loan to finance six Westinghouse Electric nuclear reactors. India now targets a tenfold expansion in capacity to 63,000 MW by 2032, and US, French and Russian companies are among those chasing the business.


Baloch leader Bugti's asylum plea in consideration

Government of India is examining Baloch leader Brahamdagh Bugti's  political asylum plea. Bugti is President and founder of Baloch Republican Party and he applied for political asylum three days back. MHA said "We have received Bugti's application for political asylum and it is under examination,"


Union Minister backing Delhi sex racket?

In a shocker, Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal alleged that a Union Minister in PM Modi's government was supporting a prostitution racket in New Delhi’s GB Road area. She said Union Ministers is patronaging  the prostitution racket worth “thousands of crores” has been operational for years and the daily business of prostitution in GB Road was at least Rs 5 crore. It is known that Maliwal was booked by ACB in connection with alleged irregularities in women’s panel recruitment.


Navy on high alert

Indian Navy was put on highest alert in Mumbai after two school children claimed that they saw suspicious movement near Uran naval base. The students said that they they saw five suspected persons in black uniform wholly covered and carrying long weapon and a bag.


Karnataka not to release cauvery water till Sep 23

Karnataka Government which received shock when Supreme Court asked it to release 6000 cusecs of cauvery water everyday to Tamil Nadu ,decided not to implement the Supreme Court’s directive to release Cauvery water till September 23, when a special session of the State legislature will be convened to take a call on the issue.
