Sources from Hyderabad have stated that rains continue to wreak havoc
in Hyderabad and paralyze the city transportation system and after the dreadful
appearance of huge holes on NTR Marg the other day, a heavy water jam on
Panjagutta flyover has now been witnessed as a result of incessant rain from
the last evening.
As per reports, Panjagautta flyover, which is one
of the busy routes to experience heavy traffic, has presently reportedly been
inundated with rainwater and this has led to the diversion of vehicles to other
routes during the peak traffic hours.
It was stated that portions of roads around the flyover have also been submerged in knee-deep water and so motorists and pedestrians have found it extremely difficult to commute in the past one week due to incessant rains.
Hyderabad sources have stated that this is not the first time that Hyderabad has faced this problem but the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) continues to neglect the repairing of the dilapidated roads and poor underground work and the officials have so far failed to provide any solace to rain-hit citizens.
