It is a known fact that Congress president Sonia Gandhi and PM Manmohan Singh have been avoiding visiting AP for close to 4 years after revival of T-agitation. Sonia and PM had come together for Puttaparthi Sai baba’s funeral and PM had visited Hyderabad during the biodiversity conference and Dilsukhnagar blasts.
But these visits were extremely guarded without any interaction with masses or any political angle to it. Congress cadre across the Telangana region have reportedly questioned Rahul Gandhi’s emissary Amar Kale as to why the top leadership haven’t attended even a single public meeting in the state.
They have now demanded that the high command leadership should come down to boost the morale of the cadre so that they can beef up the party before its do-or-die battle in 2014 elections. Now that the Telangana issue has also cooled down it is better Rahul and team work on those lines.
