The common refrain from a lot of political leaders in the country is that Congress party keeps its doors open for those planning to merge with it but once they come into its fold, they hardly bother to keep up their promises. Atleast, Chiranjeevi was better because he was able to get one important post for him at Central level and two minister posts in the state for his party men after merging PRP.
Notwithstanding his power projection and other pressure tactics being employed by Chiru camp leaders like C Ramachandraiah to project Chiru as future CM, Congress party is reportedly in no mood to entertain them and conveyed this indirectly by ensuring that there is no place for them at the recent party co-ordination meet held in Hyderabad where a galaxy of leaders took part.
For the first time in years, there was a broad based honest discussion where the cadre also got its prominence, but there was hardly any presence of Chiru camp. Whether it was deliberate or whether Chiru camp themselves choose to stay away is not known, but Chiru has now become ‘one’ of the leaders in Congress.
