People say in democracy there is no room for violence. But today Politicians are preaching people to resort to violence to meet their goals.
First it was YS Vijayamma , mother of Jagan and a YSRC leader urging people to beat up who ever criticized YS Jagan . Their intolerance showed that violence is part of democratic system and exposed the hollowness of their case against charges of corruption heaped on Jagan.
Recently the state minister K Jana Reddy and Union rural development minister Jairam Ramesh provoking women in rural and urban areas to smash illegal liquor outlets, locally known as belt shops, and promised hat no cases would be there would be no police case on them .
Viewing liquor as a perennial source of ever increasing revenue, the Governments have winked at belt shops over the years unmindful of the havoc they caused to the health and live savings of millions of people.Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has set a record of sorts by giving license for more distilleries in the state to augment more production of cheap liquor. By encouraging liquor consumption on a large scale he is doing immense harm to the poor and backward sections of society .
