1. Tribals stealing cats, selling off skins.Dogs are not the only ones going missing. Desperate cat owners are reporting several cases of disappearances and sources reveal an investigation has determined that certain tribal communities living within the city are responsible.
2.Telangana: Gudamba businessmen to be weeded out.Despite the announcement of a “Gudumba-free state” by TS government, the brew continues to be produced at many places. To stop this, the state government is coming with a new scheme to rehabilitate the manufacturers and other dependents on this activity. 
3.Telangana announces CET schedule.The Telangana state government on Thursday issued the schedule for the Common Entrance Tests (CETs) for admission to various professional courses in the state for the ensuing academic year (2017-18).
According to the schedule released by the TS Council for Higher Education, EAMCET will be held on May 12, 2017, ECET on May 6, PECET on May 16, ICET on May 18, LAWCET and PG-LCET on May 27, EDCET on May 28 and PG-ECET on May 30.
4.R&B department suggests realignment of Hyderabad’s Regional Ring Road.The Telangana roads & buildings (R&B) department has added modifications to the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR) meant for providing connectivity to urban nodes and urban centres of Hyderabad.
5.At Begumpet, it’s a tough walk under Metro works.Those walking under the construction of the Begumpet metro station  — near the Lifestyle building — are risking serious injury due to the absence of barricades. The road is the only stretch from where they can go over to the Begumpet station for the MMTS and if they want to walk towards Ameerpet.
6.KT Rama Rao tells GHMC to save walls.Minister Mr. K. T Rama Rao has directed the GHMC to strictly enforce the Defacement of Property Act, in the city. Hundreds of walls have been defaced by posters and drawings and need immediate attention from civic officials. All these walls need to be painted, the minister said. The GHMC had launched a special drive against the defacement of public and private properties from January 1.
7.RBI warns Telangana on cooperative banks belonging to other states.The Reserve Bank of India has alerted the Telangana state government regarding cooperative societies belonging to other states that are collecting large cash deposits from the public by offering abnormally high interest rates, and has directed that such activities be stopped.
8.Centre tells Telangana not to dig past for AP Bhavan. The Union home ministry asked the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to act in accordance with the AP Reorganisation Act, and not bring up historical facts regarding the sharing of assets of AP Bhavan.
9.Rahul Gandhi asks Congress units from Telangana and AP to be more aggressive. Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday asked Congress leaders from Telangana and AP to be more aggressive and attack all anti-people programmes of TRS and TDP governments in their respective states.


Andhra Pradesh
1.Tamil Nadu government seeks Krishna water from Andhra Pradesh.Stating that Chennai was facing a grave drinking water crisis even before the onset of summer, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam on Thursday requested Andhra Pradesh to immediately release at least two TMC ft of Krishna water from the Telugu Ganga project.
2.Naidu opens new transit terminal at Vijayawada airport.Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday inaugurated the new transit terminal building of Vijayawada airport at Gannavaram this afternoon and urged the Centre to name it as NTR Amaravati airport.
3.Andhra Pradesh: Airport terminal to be launched today.All is set for the launch of first new domestic terminal at Gannavaram Air port on Thursday. Union minister for civil aviation P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the terminal and set foundation stone for the runway extension works.
4.Godavari water for kharif crop; Krishna delta to get 100 tmc ft water. Nearly 100 tmc ft of Godavari river water is to be pumped into Krishna delta to help farmers there to raise crop for ensuing kharif season through Pattiseema lift irrigation scheme.
5.38.4 km Vizag coastline eroded over 25 years.Parts of Vizag’s coastline are eroding at an average of 1.40 metres per year over the last 25 years. Of the total 135km of the coast, about 38.4 km is eroding at an average of -1.40 m/year. About 74.6 km of coastline appears to be accreting with an average of +1.08 m/year while around  41.4 km coast is found to be stable.
6.Chittoor villages against their merger into NUDA.People living in 11 villages of Chittoor district close to fast growing Sri City Special Economic Zone have been raising objections against inclusion of their habitations in Nellore Urban Development Authority.
7.With Krishna in Kadapa, Naidu eyes Jagan’s turf.Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that Pulivendula, native constituency of the Opposition leader, was given Krishna waters even before his home constituency Kuppam, as assured earlier.
