MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi is known for his aggressive ways. Generally no one dare to attack or speak against Owaisi. However of late almost everyone started attacking Owaisi for his comments on Haj subsidy.
It is known that Owaisi couple of days back asked Union Government to scrap Haj Subsidy given to muslims and instead concentrate on using the same for Muslim girls education. His comments came as pleasant surprise for PM Modi led BJP government at the centre.
Many intellectuals started praising Owaisi but however opposition parties like Congress started attacking him and even the ruling TRS attacked him saying Haj subsidy will stay.
Congress leader Shabbir Ali said Haj subsidy was started by Britishers in 1932 to help poor muslims to undertake Haj pilgrimage. He accused Owaisi of working with Sangh Parivar to end Haj subsidy.He asked Owaisi to withdraw his statements against Haj subsidy.
