The game has begun for the Uttar Pradesh polls with Akhilesh getting the cycle symbol. It’s the seat sharing game that is mostly watched by country between Congress-RLD and Samajwadi party. Just few hours after the EC has allocated the cycle symbol to Akhilesh talks have begun between SP and Congress.
According to Congress source, the Congress and Rld combined may get 120-125 seats while the rest of the seats will go to Akhilesh led Samajwadi party. This will be a Bihar style grand alliance in Uttar-Pradesh, Akhilesh taking the responsibility.
It is learned that the Ex CM of Delhi shiela Dixit who is the front runner for CM post from the congress party will now withdraw her candidature if things workout smoothly. Shiela Dixit has earlier said that she was not interested in CM post in the interest of public.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh will share stage along with Jayant Chaudhary in a joint mega rally soon. Congress' UP poll campaign '27 Saal, UP Behal' will be tweaked. Senior Congress leader maintained, "Our basic target is to stop BJP and confine them below three figures. This is a semi final before 2019 general assembly." Added the leader.
Still now congress played the Brahmin card in the UP
campaign but now it has all the plans to woo dalit voters and put a check to
Mayawati led Bahujan Samajwadi party. The alliance will have an impact of
Opposition camp in Parliament too. Congress sources say with TMC and SP on
their side will strengthen their position in Parliament too.
