AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu is envisaging grand plans to put Andhra Pradesh on fast track development track. Even as he is working hard going on international trips to convince investors to come to Andhra Pradesh, opposition parties like Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP have been attacking him for making personal profits in international deals.
Under these circumstances instead of being careful, CMO landed Chandra Babu in trouble. When Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is in Switzerland to attract investments, communications team in his office in a press release issued in Amaravati claimed that Switzerland-headquartered Stadler has come forward to set up a locomotive and rail coach manufacturing unit in Visakhapatnam district. But it didnot mention the investment details.
Later it released the press statment in English clarifying on the earlier statement. The release read "the representatives (of Stadler) informed the Chief Minister (during a meeting in Zurich) that they are planning to start their operations in India too."
It added "The company has a presence in Kancharapara in West Bengal and they are looking at Visakhapatnam to locate another unit especially to manufacture parts with aluminium,"
Press Release clarified "The Chief Minister, during his talks with Stadler executives in Zurich, invited them to set up their manufacturing unit in AP and they consented to it,"
