PM Modi at present seems to be bulldozing his opponents and crushing all the rival parties under his feet. It is known that Modi powered BJP to simple majority in the 2014 elections proving all poll predictions of a hung Parliament wrong. Along with its allies, BJP powered NDA to more than 300 plus seats. 


BJP after coming to power got shocks in Delhi and Bihar but however wrested many states from Congress to crush it completely. Now in the upcoming elections for the five states which include Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, it is expected to put up strong performance. 


In the meantime India Today Mood of the Nation, predicted on Republic Day that PM Modi is all set to reagain power with in even more stronger and decisive manner. NDA according to the survey results will emerge stronger and regain power getting 360 seats if elections are held now. 


PM Modi found support from all quarters be it surgical strikes against Pakistan or on blackmoney with demonetisation drive. More than 2/3rd voted for Modi as PM and he is leading Rahul Gandhi by 55% points.  MOTN survey was conducted by market research firm Karvy Insights Limited across 19 states from the end of demonetisation deadline on December 30 until January 9. A total of 12,143 interviews were carried out (53% in rural & 47% in urban), spread across 97 parliamentary constituencies in 194 assembly seats.


BJP alone is expected to get more than 300 seats and Modi's popularity increased by 15% highest in the past six surveys. More than 69% supported PM Modi's performance as Prime Minister terming it as good or outstanding. This went from 9% to 16%. 


Modi also got support on demonetisation with 45% terming the decision will end corruption while 35% felt that it is good for the economy. However 68% expected the government to bring down taxes and 61% expects the government to crack whip on the funding of the political parties. 58% supported surgical strikes and 62% felt that Modi government dealt Pakistan quite well.
