One neednot require any expert explanation to see through the menace of drunken driving. Even as accident free week is celebrated, state of Telangana witnessed increased accidents much to the shock of all.
It is known that Telangana is witnessing largest number of deaths due to drunken driving and Telangana government and cops are at their wits end as to how to bring them down. They are conducting awareness programs and also counselling.
But despite their best efforts, there is no change in the attitude of the youngsters. Under these circumstances Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy shocked all by asking youngsters to booze and enjoy.
In the counselling session he asked youngsters to consume as much alcohol as they want but asked them not to drive while drunk. Parents however were angry with the Home Minister. One parent remarked " It's being irresponsible. He as home minister should rather have asked them to keep off drinks"
Nayani however after facing the ire of the parents clarified that he gave the advice with good intention.
