1.  Traffic chokes as ministers, VIPs flock to CM camp office :  Traffic went haywire for hours together on Friday as leaders and followers turned up at Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s camp office-cum-residence at Somajiguda to greet him on his birthday.
2.  'Carry forward R.K. Laxman legacy’ :  Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, E.S.L. Narasimhan, wanted the art that cartoonist R.K. Laxman ceaselessly nurtured for almost five decades, to be continued.
3.  KCR’s birthday a grand affair :  Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao celebrated his 63rd birthday on Friday, but it was a cut above the celebrations that took place after he became the Chief Minister as he threw open the gates of his sprawling camp office at Begumpet to public who turned up to greet him.
4.  Cong. dares TRS for a debate on development :  Congress leaders on Friday dared the TRS Government to publish a white paper with all the details of the projects it executed in the district after it came to power and challenged for an open debate on its performance anywhere any time.
5.  Telugu community starts first university in U.S. for Indian performing arts :  The Telugu community settled in California has founded the first U.S.-based university for Indian performing arts. The University of Silicon Andhra (UofSA) offers Masters, diploma and certificate programmes in Carnatic music and Kuchipudi dance. 
6.  SP thanks people :  Suryapet SP J. Parimala Hana Nuthan on Friday thanked people, volunteers and officials of government wings for their help in peaceful conduct of recently concluded Peddagattu Lingamanthula Swamy jamboree. 
7.  Last round of demonetisation is inadequate, says Rangarajan :  From demonetisation to universal basic income in the context of India’s slowing growth and autonomy of the Reserve Bank of India, the bank’s former Governor, C. Rangarajan, discussed it all before a gathering of bank’s employees on Friday.

9.  Trained by cops, over 200 youth land jobs :  Twenty-year-old degree student Fouziya Begum finally got selected as civil police constable on Friday, thanks to the 'free training' by West zone police of Hyderabad. It is not just Ms. Fouziya but over 200 men and women from different localities of Hyderabad --majority of them from Mangalhat and surrounding areas-- got constable jobs thanks to the coaching by police. 
10.  Hyderabad operations bleeding TSRTC :  Just the mention of the words Greater Hyderabad Zone in the context of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is enough to remind people that it is the biggest, operating the maximum number of 3,810 buses.


Andhra Pradesh
1.  Headmaster booked under POCSO Act for misbehaving with students :  The Kaikalur police arrested Varahapatnam Mandal Praja Parishad school headmaster S. Abraham Kumar for allegedly misbehaving with girl students. The headmaster was allegedly misbehaving with fourth and fifth class students for the last few days.
2.  Japanese delegation meets CRDA chief :  A high-level delegation of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and Japan International Cooperation Agency met CRDA Commissioner Ch. Sreedhar here on Friday. Mr. Sreedhar gave a presentation on the vision for development of Amaravati into a world–class city.
3.  Two city girls sizzle at beauty pageant :  There was glamour, excitement and a show of confidence and poise as 11 contestants from different parts of Andhra Pradesh contested for the top three spots of the State level audition rounds of the 54th edition of Miss India 2017 held for the first time in the city on Friday.
4.  ACB raids premises of Nellore ZP CEO :  Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here conducted raids on the properties of Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer B. Rami Reddy in Nellore and several other places in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Friday. The ACB officials initially found Mr. Reddy in possession of assets worth nearly Rs. 2 crore which were disproportionate to his known sources of income.
5.  Ensure Telugu Desam is in power forever, says Naidu :  Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed party leaders to strive to achieve 80% public satisfaction regarding the party’s performance and image. There should not be any scope for others (Opposition parties) to feel that they still have space in the political arena in Andhra Pradesh.

10.  Agitation against G.O. tomorrow :  Leaders of “Mathrubhasha Maadyam Vedika (Forum for Mother Tongue as medium of Teaching) have announced that they will participate in a Satyagraha demanding withdrawal of an order by the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department making English the medium of instruction in all municipal schools from the academic year 2016-17.
