Tension is increasing as the ruling TRS government head by CM KCR and TJAC headed by Chairman Kodandaram are on a collision course on holding a public meeting in Hyderabad. While T JAC is adamant on holding public meeting highlighting the unemployment issue in the state in Hyderabad, T-Government too is keen to thwart it.

On Tuesday, TRS government told High Court that it cannot allow public meeting in the city and instead suggested Nagole as alternative venue and also asked the event to be postponed to Feb 26, to Sunday.

Even as Justice A Ramalingeswara Rao was dictating the order permitting the meeting to be held at Nagole,T JAC led by Kodandaram withdrew the petition saying they were determined to hold the public meeting in Hyderabad and on Wednesday as planned.

Police stepped up security and surrounded Osmania University and Campus to prevent students from taking part in the event as Kodandaram is insisting on going ahead.

Kodandaram said "Will hold rally at Indira Park as scheduled" and added “Protest is the fundamental right of the people in a democracy and we won't give it up. The police have already arrested over 600 people since Monday evening. We expect that the arrests will gather pace and conti nue till tomorrow to prevent us from holding the rally and meeting for the just demands of unemployed youth,“
