1.  The dying tongues of Telangana and Andhra :  Kolami, Koya, Gondi, Kuvi, Kui, Yerukala, Savara, Parji, Kupia. Do these names ring a bell? No, right? They are all native tribal tongues that have immensely contributed to
enrich the language and culture of Telugu people. 
2.  Police break into TJAC chairman Kodandaram's house, arrest him :  Hyderabad police arrested Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Professor Kodandaram and other senior leaders in the wee hours of Wednesday, in order to prevent them from participating in the Nirudyoga Nirasana rally. A police team forcefully broke into the house of Kodandaram at around 3.30 am and detained the leader.
3.  Bus in Telangana catches fire during journey, destroyed in minutes :  A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation luxury bus in Alair, Telangana, caught fire on Tuesday afternoon, threatening the lives of over 30 passengers.
4.  6 workers killed as air cooler unit catches fire, owner heldheld :   A massive fire broke out in a warehouse at Attapur in Rajendranagar of Hyderabad, killing six migrant workers early morning on Wednesday. 
5.   Don’t malign KCR, minister tells Congress :  Transport minister P. Mahender Reddy on Tuesday warned critics of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, especially the Congress, that the TRS will not keep quiet if they indulged in loose talk.
6.  TJAC to defy cops, hold rally :   On Tuesday, the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) withdrew its demand before the Hyderabad High Court for permission for its proposed rally to seek jobs for the unemployed.
7.  Andhra Pradesh, Telangana want lower cut-off marks :  While pressure is being exerted on the Centre to lower the cut-off score in NEET PG-2017 so that more doctors become eligible for admission, the medical fraternity is concerned that this may compromise the quality of education.
8.  Electric short circuit burns car and GHMC garbage truck :  In two fire incidents on Tuesday, a car and a GHMC garbage truck caught fire in the city. The GHMC vehicle caught fire in Chatrinaka area due to electrical short-circuit. 
9.  Fruit prices soar on eve of Sivaratri :  : The prices of fruits have gone up on the eve of Sivaratri, the major Hindu festival, as devout Hindus break their fast with fruits on Sivaratri day. Fewer arrivals from other States and depleting fruit production in Telangana State are the major reasons for prices shooting up, according to fruit dealers.
10.  Monster.com telecaller Sunitha’s death was a suicide :  Police has confirmed that Monster.com telecaller Sunitha committed suicide by setting herself ablaze after her boyfriend rejected her on Valentine's Day. Police said that since her boyfriend Sravan has forced her to commit suicide he will be arrested.


Andhra Pradesh
1.  ‘Honour poll promise, pay unemployment allowance immediately’: Jagan to Naidu :  Lone Opposition party in Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress on Monday urged the Telugu Desam government to immediately honour its election promise made in 2014 and pay Rs 2,000 a month as an allowance to all unemployed youth in the state.
2.  At Tirumala, KCR offers gold worth Rs 5 crore to Lord Venkateswara :   In a princely offering, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday donated gold ornaments worth around Rs 5 crore to the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara in nearby Tirumala.
3.  Vizag Airport declared ‘Major Airport’ :  With passenger movement crossing 18 lakh this year, the Visakhapatnam Airport was declared a ‘Major Airport’ a few months ago.
4.  CM asks wildlife officials to tap tourist potential :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has lined up a series of programmes for wildlife officials with a view to promoting tourism in the State.
5.  Chintalapudi LI scheme: NAPM panel alleges violation of rules : The State government has been accused of serious violations in the implementation of the Chintalapudi Lift Irrigation project in West Godavari district.
 6.  Congress plans protest against TDP-BJP rule :  The Nellore District Congress Committee met at the Indira Bhavan here on Tuesday and decided to step up their protest activities as part of their party’s ‘Praja Avedana’ (people’s anguish) programmes against the ruling BJP-TDP governments.
7.  SPDCL vigilance officials book 33,721 cases :  Vigilance officials of the Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Corporation (APSPDCL) booked 33,721 power pilferage cases in eight districts in 10 months, during 2016-17, and imposed Rs. 22.74 crore as penalties on the accused, said V. Ravi, Superintending Engineer (SE-Vigilance) of the Corporation.
8.  Protest against new MV Act :  Registering their protest against the recent amendments made to the Motor Vehicles Act by the Central government, members of the City Passenger Auto Owners and Drivers’ Association, under the aegis of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), staged a demonstration in front of the Collectorate here on Tuesday and burnt the copies of the government orders.
9.  Karnataka plans to tap KRS dam’s dead storage :  Anticipating drinking water crisis in Bengaluru this summer, with drought looming large, the government is putting in place a contingency plan to draw water from the dead storage of Krishnaraja Sagar (KRS) reservoir at an estimated cost of Rs. 40 crore.
10.  BJP seeks probe into civic body spending :  Levelling charges of irregularities against the officials of the Kakinada Municipal Corporation, the East Godavari district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday demanded that a detailed inquiry must be ordered into the funds spent by the civic body in the last three years.
