Officers got huge surprise when the house of Karnataka Congress MLC Govind Raj.The influential legislator,who has huge connections with the top leaders of the Congress party and a popular fund raiser was raided. They found a dairy which was hidden in his bedroom.
The dairy just like Sahara and Birla diaries contained initials of various individuals raising suspicion of black money. The secret diary no a kg03 speaks of a staggering Rs 600 crore routed to mysterious names like AICC, AP, M Vora, SG office and RG office and DGS. The diary also has an entry under `steel bridge' from where Rs 65 crore was marked as received.There is one entry which also shows Rs 7 crore being paid to media for Bengaluru municipal elections.
It has similar initials and entries bearing those in Agusta scam and ex-CBI director's BBM chat. Govind Raj during the questioning about the entries on Feb 11,2017 said his signatures were forged. While BJP claims Congress corruption was exposed, Congress maintains that the diary is fake and BJP is trying to malign it.
