1. Centre's Aadhaar fiat may force many kids in Telangana to missfree mid-day meals :  The new rule put in place by central government,making Aadhaar card mandatory for school students to get free mid-day meals at government schools, may deprive scores of under pri vileged children of the hot meals.


2.  Aadhaar enrollment: Elderly also hope for some relief :  Even the elderly people are not exempted from bio metrics. "Due to old age,finger prints vanishes, skin around the finger tips become feeble, andwe have to suffer as the finger print scanner fails to record the information," S Venkateswarlu, 72, a retired employee said. 


3.  Cops, RTC try to fix traffic snarls at Secunderabad station :Hyderabad traffic police and officials of Telangana State RoadTransport Corporation (TSRTC) are scouting for half an acre of land onthe Bhoiguda—Chilkalguda side to de-congest vehicular traffic at theSecunderabad Railway Station's main entrance. 


4.  Burglars strike at temple, take hundi :  Burglars struck atMaisamma temple in Polkampallivillage, Ibrahimpatnam, late on Sundaynight and stole a hundi. They later broke it and took the donationsmade by devotees. 


5.  Trespassers nabbed at UoH, students say rising numbers a threat towildlife :  Increasing number of trespassers pose a serious threat tothe wildlife at the University of Hyderabad (UoH). In the most recentcase, a group of students nabbed 15 trespassers on campus. This is notthe first time that the team of Wild Lens, a group formed to protectwildlife on campus, has caught trespassers. 


6.  Telangana wants to make a mark with Bathukamma stamp :  TheTelangana government has requested India Post to release acommemorative stamp on `Bathukamma', the floral festival celebrated by women of the state during the DasaraNavarathri.


7.  Hyderabad loses largest Tricolour tag to Attari, slips in poleposition too :  Hyderabad's pride of being home to the country'slargest national flag measuring 108x72 feet on a 291—tall flag post,has proved to be short-lived. 


8.  Water board ready with summer plan :  Residents of twin cities need not panic this summer as Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply andSewerage Board (HMWS&SB) will ensure that enough potable water is made available. 


9.  Telangana govt constitutes committee to strengthen school education :  In order to create interest among children for science,mathematics and technology, the Telangana government has constituted astate—level steering committee to implement activities under theRashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA). 


10.  Tech worries: High usage make `bitcoins' susceptible to thefts :The high usage of `bitcoins' by companies in Hyderabad —-for payingransom to hackers for getting back decryption keys of hacked data--has made bitcoins highly susceptible to thefts.In fact, companies have nowbeen approached by cyber security experts to secure their `bitcoin'currency.


Andhra Pradesh News :

1.  Protesters ask RBI to accept old notes :  Hundreds of angry peoplefrom Andhra Pradeshand Telangana staged a dharna outside the local
branch of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday demanding the apex ank accept old notes till March 31.


2.  After 2,200 years, Amaravati gets back its legislation power : In a historic recurrence, `legislation' returned to Amaravati after a
gap of two millennia. For the first time in 2,200 years, Andhra `regained' the power to make its own rules and regulations from its
soil.


3.  Andhra Pradesh in favour of simultaneous polls to Lok Sabha,assemblies :  The Andhra Pradeshgovernment today backed the idea to
hold simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and State Assembliesand even suggested that polls to urban and rural local bodies too be held
within one year thereon.


4.  People are our first priority: BJP floor leader Vishnu Kumar Raju :  Dropping enough hints that his party will continue to be firm on
issues of public interest, BJP floor leader in the Legislative Assembly and Visakhapatnam north constituency MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju
said the party would bring instances of corruption and other injustices to the notice of the Government and Chief Minister N.
ChandrababNaidu.


5.  Ex-DGP raises political murders in SC :  As political murders in Kerala gain limelight and raise debates for Central intervention,
former Kerala DGP T.P. Senkumar asked the Supreme Court on Monday whether Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will take “responsibility” for
the nine political murders that occurred in the State. 

6.  Officials geared up for Council polls in three districts : The official machinery is fully geared for the Legislative Council
elections to the graduates and teachers’ constituencies of Prakasam, Nellore and Chittoor districts, scheduled on March 9. Over 8,000
staff, including the election staff, revenue and police are involved in the process.

7.  TDP, YSRC leaders booked :  The Kadapa One Town police have registered criminal cases against TDP district president R.
Srinivasulu Reddy and YSR Congress district president A. Amarnatha Reddy for allegedly violating the election model code of conduct on a
complaint filed by Kadapa Municipal Commissioner P. Chandramouleeswara Reddy.


8.  Krishna will join BJP soon :  Stepping up efforts to woo the former Karnataka Chief Minister S.M. Krishna to the Bharatiya Janata
Party fold, BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa met Mr. Krishna at the latter’s residence and formally invited him to join the party on
Monday.


9.  IMA Kakinada Chapter office-bearers :  Vadrevu Ravi and M.V. Anand have been elected as president and secretary of the Indian Medical
Association’s Kakinada chapter. The other office-bearers are: Ch. Kiran (treasurer) and Moka Pawan Kumar, Y. Kalyana Chakravarthy and
R.V. Sudheer (vice-presidents), a release said.


10.  Apologised enough, hope to attend full session: Roja : VELAGAPUDI (AMARAVATI): YSRC Party MLA R.K. Roja, who was suspended
from the House for one year a year ago, says she has apologised twice and there is no need to do it once more. She hopes that she will be
attending the complete session of the Assembly this time.
