The BJP on Saturday announced  Yogi Adityanath as the new chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, clarifying the air filled with speculations. The party won a landslide victory with 312 seats out of 403 in the recent state assembly elections. Yogi Adityanath, the high-spirited 44-year-old priest-politician from Gorakhpur is known for his vigorous Hindutva approach, infuriating speeches and mass following across the state.

He never pauses to make controversial remarks, be it about Islam or Pakistan targeting Muslims. He is a Member of the Parliament in the Lok Sabha and has been winning from his constituency since 1998, a seat which was allotted to him after his spiritual father Mahant Avaidyanath had won from 1989-98.Born Ajay Singh, the diminutive shaven headed politician is known for his powerful and provocative speeches, though most of his speeches target on divisive lines and it has been the main reason keeping the communal politics alive in the country.Known for his firebrand politics, Adityanath never had to rely on Modi wave to cling on to his seat or get anointed as the Uttar Pradesh CM,which means he is an equal competitor to Modi.

His ardent devotees even say he is the PM of India at 2024.Adityanath has several criminal cases filed against him. But nothing hindered him from becoming the CM of the most populous and communally sensitive Uttar Pradesh. In his past he was charged with rioting,  murder attempt, armed with deadly weapon, endangering personal safety of others, unlawful assembly, trespassing on burial places and criminal intimidation and the list goes on.Yogi ordered the people to don't respect Surya Namaskar to GET OUT of INDIA.This is one of the highlights of his staunching speech.
