1.  Tirumala scam: Babus' letters used to sell VIP darshan tickets :  Tirumala urban police on Wednesday busted a racket involving selling of L2 category VIP darshan ticketsand arrested 10 persons.
2.  Babri Masjid is title dispute and not partnership case, says Asaduddin :  Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) president, Asaduddin Owaisi, on Tuesday said the crux of the Babri Masjid - Ram Janmabhoomi case is a title dispute and that it must not be confused with a 'partnership case'.
3.  INS Viraat may not develop into a tourist attraction :  The Andhra Pradesh government's grand plans to convert the Naval warship INS Viraat into a major tourist attraction may not materialise in the near future as the Central government has turned down the state's request to partly fund the project.
4.  Women's brigade led anti-dowry stir when OU was shaken & stirred :  It was early 1973.The state was under the President's rule following the violent Jai Andhra agitationin coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema seeking separate Andhra state in 1972. 
5.  Monkey menace takes centre stage in House, govt allots Rs 2.2 crore to catch them :  The common Rhesus monkeys of Telangana, at least the troops that plague villages and towns, have apparently learnt a new trick.That strength lies in numbers, especially when it comes to driving away their larger cousins -the Hanuman Langurmonkeys, which were brought into the villages to scare them away in the first place.

8.  KTR tweets DGP about cop's high-handedness :  After information technology (IT) minister K T Rama Rao on Tuesday morning tweeted requesting DGP Anurag Sharma to take action over a cop's alleged high-handed behaviour with a fruit vendor at Nagole, Rachakonda police have started an inquiry on the same.
9.  70-year-old's liver gives life to Hyderabad patient :  In a heartening development, the liver of a 70-year-old brain dead Armyman was recently donated to a 54-year-old patient undergoing treatment at MaxCure Hospital's Secretariat branch.
10.  Sushma Swaraj responds to KTR's tweet on captives : The 29 Telanganaworkers held captive by a company in Saudi Arabia will be provided help. Union minister for external affairs, Sushma Swaraj, on Tuesday positively responded to Telangana state IT and NRI affairs Minister K T Rama Rao's letter on the plight of the workers.


Andhra Pradesh
1.  Awards presented to Lalith, Karthik :  Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Department Kinjarapu Atchannaidu on Tuesday gave cash awards to two chess players, Grandmaster M.R. Lalith Babu and K. Venkata Karthik, an intellectually challenged chess player, for their on-board exploits here.
2.  Treat Emergency detenus as freedom fighters: Ex-MP :  Former MP Y. Sivaji has urged the Centre to treat detenus of Emergency as freedom fighters. Dr. Sivaji, who took part in a meeting of the Emergency detenus in New Delhi on Tuesday, said the imposition of the internal emergency from June, 1975 to March, 1977 was a dark spot in our democracy.
3.  CM lowering image of democracy, says CPI :  Communist Party of India secretary K. Ramakrishna on Tuesday blamed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for lowering the image of democracy by following corrupt methods in ensuring victories in the just-concluded MLC elections.
4.  YSRC alleges lapses in voters' list :  YSRCP district president Reddi Shanti on Tuesday asked the Srikakulam Municipal Corporation to publish proper voters' list ahead of the Corporation election. They alleged that the voters' number (1.09 lakh) was as much as the population (1.31 lakh) and it had indicated lapses in preparation of the list.
5.  Budget missed SCS, ryots and unemployment issues :  YSRC MLC Meka Seshu Babu on Tuesday alleged that there was no mention of Special Category Status (SCS), unemployment problem and assistance to aqua farmers in the Budget 2017-18 presented in the Legislative Council.

7.  Naidu flares up on corruption issue :  Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday sought to clarify that it was a ‘slip of tongue’ when he had told the Assembly on Monday that the State was No. 1 in corruption while he actually meant was that Andhra Pradesh was in the forefront in “eliminating corruption”. 
8.  TDP-BJP nominee leads in Council poll :  With none of the main contestants -- either TDP-BJP combine nominee P.V.N. Madhav or Progressive Democratic Front’s A. Aja Sarma -- getting the magic figure of 48,499 votes in the election held for the North Andhra graduates’ constituency, counting of second preference votes was taken up on Tuesday evening.
9.  Vizag finds place in happiness index :  UK-India Joint Network on Sustainable Cities has chosen Visakhapatnam among six cities in the country for bringing about significant improvement in the quality of life thereby achieving higher happiness index.
10.  28 doctors to be recruited on contract basis :  The Medical and Health Department has decided to fill up various posts at the District Government Hospital, Machilipatnam on contract basis. The doctors and the staff nurses have explained their problems in providing timely service to the patients at the hospital to Health Minister K. Srinivas recently.
