PM Modi is trying his best to set high standards among politicians. He has been asking his pary MPs,MLAs,leaders and cadre to behave in a humble manner as servants of the public. However some leaders are taking him for granted. 


His friendly allies too defy him and one such party is Shiv Sena known for its arrogant attitude. Shiv Sena blows hot and cold and always attack PM Modi. It got huge shock in the recent municipal elections in Mumbai and once again entered into  an alliance with BJP.

Now in a shocker, Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad showed his arrogance and abused power by thrashing an Air India official with his slipper. What surprised all is he boasted that he slapped him with his slipper for 25 times. 


Gaikwad in an arrogant manner said "I wanted a business class seat which he couldn't arrange for me. I hit him several times with my slipper". He continued "I was about to throw him down the flight, I won't leave him till he apologises." He then took dig at BJP saying he is not a BJP MP to tolerate abuses. 


He questioned the scribe asking “What did he (the AI official) say...Yes, I beat him with a sandal 25 times. Should I tolerate abuses from the media, from the company (Air India) just because I am an MP?,”  He added “I told him (the official) that I have given a complaint to the air-hostess, you should refer to that. I am not going to repeat my complaint to whoever comes to ask about it. I asked him to call a senior who could resolve the issue but he said no, I will look into it,” 


He then thundered ”I slapped him...Should I hear abuses from everyone. I am from Shiv Sena not BJP. Let him complain to anyone. I will give my complaint to the Lok Sabha Speaker," It is comingout that the MP bookd in Business Class but the Airline changed the flight to an all economy aircrat and the MP's personal secretary was informed in Delhi about the change and also offered that he could cancel the booking. But the MP reached the Pune airport and boarded the flight. 


Air Line Official said  "Air India will file an FIR against Gaikwad in an hour's time at a police station near T2 Terminal of Delhi airport. We have filed an internal committee to inquire into the incident.". Official also revealed , "The committee's report is almost ready and is going to be tabled to the Aviation Ministry in the next few hours. Gaikwad beat a senior Air India official (almost 60) on his chest, tore his shirt and then hit him 10-15 times with a slipper.Later, the airport manager intervened and convinced the MP to deboard the plane."


AI official added “The duty manager R Sukumar, 60, was called and he started convincing him. The MP started shouting at him, snatched his glasses and pushed him to the ground. He fell down and the MP started beating him with slippers. The airport manager, a former hockey player, rushed and saved him,”


Airport source say “Incident was reported from Air India flight AI 852 (Pune-Delhi), in which MP Ravindra Gaikwad was travelling. The flight landed around 10 am but the MP refused to deboard. When the airline security staff was called and he got angry and started beating them with slippers,”. The staffer was a 60 year old Duty Manager R. Sukumar.
