The Presidential elections are nearing. The present President Mr. Pranab Mukherjee term as president comes to an end by this July. And now the question is as who will take the top post. Will it be the BJP senior leader L.K. Adwani or Murali Manohar Joshi. The new name which is making news is that of the RSS chief Mohan Bhagawath who was showcased and supported by Shivsena Party. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already begun his ground work so as to whom to select for the country’s first Person’s Post.

 In this backdrop, Modi has decided to meet the Chief Minister’s of the ruling NDA government states on 7th of April. He invited all the 17 Chief Ministers of the NDA ruled states. The key decision or role will be played by Andhra Pradesh chief Minister Mr. Nara Chandra Babu Naidu says reports. If one can remember during the past regime of NDA government it was Mr. Naidu who proposed the name of the Late.Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam to occupy the top post. He also succeeded in convincing the great man Mr. Kalam. More over the AP Chief Minister has good dealings with the Prime Minister Modi.  But what is interesting here is will Chandra babu vote for the person that BJP proposes or will he bring a new name into light is what is being discussed among the Political fraternity. Mr. Chandra Babu is of the opinion of extending his support to the grand old man and the BJP senior leader Mr. L.K.Adwani says reports.

The current President Mr. Pranab Mukherjee’s term of office ends this July. BJP has no worries in electing the Vice President. In electing the President both houses of MP’s and all state assembly MLA’s have to cast their vote. If at all the candidate proposed by the saffron party needs to make it to the top post, then BJP still has to get support from few other political parties.  Amid all these Modi has decided to meet the other Political Party leaders and request them to extend their support.

If senior leader L.K. Adwani is in the race for President the TMC supremo Ms. Mamatha Banerjee said that her party would support and also went on to say that TMC has no objection in supporting Mrs. Sushma Swaraj and Sumithra Mahajan if they are the candidates. Even the Bihar CM Mr. Nitish Kumar gave a clarity that his support would be given to Adwani. Congress said that they would decide on then reveal later on.

Meanwhile, reports say that the present Loksabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan is playing out her cards  for the top post and that she is holding special meets with party laders and other Women leaders and requesting them that her name be proposed for the President post.
