Triple talaq issue is generating tremendous heat among muslim community. Though all Muslim personal law boards and parties are opposing common civil code and doing away with triple talaq evevn after Supreme Court questioned Government's view on Triple Talaq, many muslim women who got affected by triple talaq are raising their voice much their shock.
Some angry muslim women even threatened to convert to Hinduism if triple talaq is not abolished and they are not given any justice. In the midst of all this Kalbe Sadiq, noted Shia cleric,member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) yesterday sought time from supreme court to allow the law board to do away with triple talaq with in 18 months.
Earlier muslim clerics, lawyers and activists formed a Sharia Faisla Board (SFB) to solve triple talaq issues. Though the board has over 60 members what surprised all is there is no single women. SFB convener Mohammed Mushtaq Mallik said, “While there aren't any women on board at the moment, we will soon have them. We are working on it.“
Even as people are happy with the slow change the AIMPLB is undergoing, the party general secretary Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani,contradicted Shia cleric claim saying “This is a baseless statement. It is not possible to fix a deadline as to when this practice will stop,“
