Andhra Pradesh
1.  Raw deal for farmers in State, says CPI :  Demanding that the Andhra Pradesh government emulate Telangana by announcing subsidy on fertiliser, Ravula Venkaiah, Secretariat Committee member of the CPI State unit, on Wednesday underscored the need for providing incentives to the drought-hit farmers of the State.
2.  IGP, SP distribute cycles to girl students :  Rayalaseema Inspector-General of Police N. Sridhar Rao and SP A. Ravikrishna distributed cycles to girl students of ninth standard in the high school at Kappatralla in Devanakonda mandal of the Kurnool district on Wednesday.
3.  DGP makes surprise visits in Srikakulam district :  Director-General of Police N. Sambasiva Rao made surprise visits to some police stations in Srikakulam district after reviewing the performance of the department at the Srikakulam District Police Office.
4.  Naidu to dedicate farm ponds to nation on his birthday :  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will dedicate 3.41 lakh farm ponds constructed across the State on Thursday, which incidentally happens to be his birthday.
5.  Naidu’s directive on office spaces in administrative city :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has suggested to the officials of the AP Capital Region Development Authority (AP CRDA) to ensure that the offices of various departments, from the level of heads of departments to the lower-rung staff, are located at the same place in the administrative city but in distinct blocks to avoid confusion for people visiting the Government Complex for various purposes.
6.  Girl gang-raped, forced to consume hair dye :  A 19-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her co-employees at Kambhampadu village in Krishna district some months ago.This has come to light now following a complaint she lodged with the police. The four accused reportedly forced her to consume hair dye to kill her.
7.  8-member gang convicted in fake notes case :  The 12th Additional District Sessions Court on Wednesday awarded five years’ imprisonment to an eight-member gang involved in exchanging fake currency in 2011.
8.  APEdCET conducted :  The online Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test-2017 was held on Wednesday from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The test was conducted successfully in 30 centres in 16 cities across the State. Out of 8,785 students who applied for the examination, 7,152 students appeared. 
9.  YSRC seeks action against Assembly Secretary :  The YSR Congress has demanded action against Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly Secretary K. Satyanarayana as he does not have necessary educational qualification.
10.  Telangana welfare body seeks 3 lakh ex gratia for workers who died in Gulf :  The Gulf Telangana Welfare and Cultural Association, Sharjah, has urged chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to give ex gratia of 3 lakh to families of Telangana workers, who died in the Gulf.
