Speculation is increasing on whether he will win his fight for Dharna Chowk. Congress senior leader V.Hanumantha Rao approached Hyderabad High Court against Telangana government's move to shift Dharna Chowk.
He challenged the action of Telangana government for passing a rule not permitting dharnas/hunger strikes/ processions/public meetings, within the limits of the city including at Dharna Chowk at Indira Park.
He pointed out that Dharna Chowk was earlier located at Lumbini Park in front of the Secretariat and authorities permitted the various forms of protests.
He said people protested many times against the failure of the governmentt to solve thier problems. He asked the court to permit protests at Dharna Chowk.
