6.  KTR lays foundation for cable bridge on Durgam Cheruvu :  In an attempt to improve the connectivity to Hi-Tec City and Gachibowli from Jubliee Hills, the foundation stone of the much-touted cable suspension bridge was laid on Wednesday.
7.  Junior doctors urge government to reject fee hike proposal of colleges :  Dozens of junior doctors and PG students staged a dharna at the Gandhi Medical College on Wednesday demanding that the government strikes off the fee hike proposal floated by private medical colleges.
8.  Salma Begum to be back in India on Sunday :  Expressing gratitude to external affairs ministry's swift response in rescuing Salma Begum, who was trapped in Saudi Arabia, her daughter Sameena thanked the ministry for their help to bring her back.

Andhra Pradesh
1.  Govt. not doing enough to mitigate drought in State, says Congress :  APCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy on Wednesday staged a protest in front of the Mandal Revenue Office in Madakasira mandal of the district to highlight the “dire dimensions of the drought prevalent in the district.” 
2.  Social boycott: DSP visits village :  An eerie calm prevailed in Gonugunta village, near Chimakurthy in Andhra Pradesh, where Dalits have been allegedly subjected to an unannounced social boycott as a fallout of the bickering during the conduct of a village festival last week.
3.  One arrested, 115 gold chains recovered :  The Rajahmahendravaram Urban police on Tuesday nabbed a person who allegedly committed a series of chain snatchings in the city and surrounding areas.
4.  ACB raids target police employee :  Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Wednesday raided the house of a junior assistant working with the Tirupati urban police and found several documents indicating possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
5.  BJP once again proved it enjoyed people’s goodwill :  Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas on Wednesday said that the emphatic win for the BJP in the Delhi municipal elections once again proved that it enjoyed a tremendous amount of goodwill among the masses. “Behind this is the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” the Minister said in a press release.
6.  Lokesh calls on Devineni family :  Panchayat Raj and IT Minister and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Wednesday called on the family of the late Devineni Rajasekhar (Nehru), senior TDP leader who died recently. Mr. Lokesh assured Devineni Avinash, son of Rajasekhar,of all help and support from the TDP.
7.  CM for modern bridges in Amaravati :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials of the AP-Capital Region Development Authority to come up with a report on the number of bridges to be constructed across the Krishna, in addition to the proposed two-storeyed iconic bridge resembling a Kuchipudi posture.
