Many are wondering whether Chandra Babu,CM of Andhra Pradesh is ruling the most corrupt state in the country. Sometime back Chandra Babu created controversy when he said AP is first in corruption too.
Opposition leaders like Jagan Mohan Reddy at once blasted Chandra Babu for such claims and they even mocked that Chandra Babu topped the list as corrupt politicians. Chandra Babu later corrected his statement saying it was slip of tongue and he meant to say that AP is the corrupt free state.
But Chandra Babu got a huge shock when a recent survey found out that Andhra Pradesh is the second most corrupt state. 38% of the people were of the opinion that corruption has increased drastically while 58% felt that corruption remained the same.
Centre for Media Studies conducted a study and it found that AP is the second most corrupt state among the 20 states surveyed.
The study has revealed that the perception of the people about increase in corruption has come down from 73 percent in 2005 to 43 percent in 2017.
Karnataka (77pc), AP (74 pc), Tamil Nadu (68 pc), Maharashtra (57 pc), Jammu and Kashmir (44 pc and Punjab (42 pc are the most corrupt in the country and have higher levels of corruption than the national average.
