Prashanth Kishore… Anybody who follows Indian Politics very keenly will definitely be aware with this name. He is known as the modern Chanakya of  Indian Politics.  Born in Bauxar district of Bihar state this 40 year master mind came into lime light with 2014 general elections.  A incident that happened while he was working for UNICEF had brought him close to the Indian eminent politicians.  He was deeply concerned over the actions taken by the respective state governments in the protection of the health policy. In this back drop he wrote a letter to the then Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh. But there was no reply from the PMO. But the same letter which was sent to the then Chief Minister of Gujarat and the present Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.  The idea was liked by Modi where Mr Kishore was invited to meet Modi personally in 2011.  Prashanth Kishore gave many ideas in the governance and most of them worked out well. With this he became a confidante of Modi.  In 2012 Mr. Kishore implemented his ideas in Gujarat elections which brought Modi back as CM and the same strategy was implemented in 2014 elections which gave Modi and BJP a thumping victory.

 Prashanth Kishore became a key man in Modi’s government whe he was the CM of Gujarat.  When Modi was announced as PM candidate by the BJP parliamentary board in 2013, this silent strategist began his work.  His team had 60 volunteers that worked on attracting youth votes.  He also appointed about 1 lakh volunteers across the country and implemented various programmes  in campaigning for 2014 General elections. He never involved in the party’s or governments internal  affairs, rather he concentrated on Five major issues. Data and analysis, Media and external communications, Research and digital communications . Taking these five parameters into consideration and the local conditions he worked out his strategy which gave a successful result.

Chai pey Charcha, Bharath vijay rally and as a Chief Minister Modi’s vision in that states development, were designed by Prashanth Kishore and this helped to give a positive image to Modi. He also conducted video conferences to address thousands of people at various places. With this Modi and BJP was successful in forming the government.

After giving a massive victory to the BJP…this 40 years master mind then moved to Bihar and worked for Nitish Kumar where Nitish also tasted victory by taking inputs from Kishore. Though Modi had announced a huge lump sum package to the state, that din’t work  out for Modi in front of Prashanth ‘s strategy.  The same happened in the Punjab Polls. Mr. Kishore was hired by congress for the polls. He started to work for congress from 2016 itself and he once again delivered success to congress in Punjab.  Kihore designed a raod map for Captain Amarinder Singh. He came up with two programmes called as “coffee with captain” “Punjab da captain” . He also arranged interactive sessions with the youth and students of Punjab that has worked out well.  When there was news making rounds that Cricketer turned politician Navjyoth Singh Sidhu would move to AAP, it was prashanths strategy that worked out and stopped sidhu to join Kejri’s party and join Congress, reports say.     

But when it came to Uttar Pradesh Elections, Prashanth Kishore’s strategy failed utterly.  But the family feud in the Samajwadi party , People losing hope and faith in congress were few reasons that has to be stated for the huge loss in UP.

Just with one failure none can blame this poll strategist. There were many strategists, Many senior leaders  who won the elections at the same time lost with a whopping majority. But in this modern day politics Prashanth will be remembered as apara Chanakya. But the question here is how his strategy will work out for YCP and Jagan in Andhra Pradesh politics in defeating the master mind and the Chief Minister of AP Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu.
