People of India, especially Telangana and Andhra Pradesh cannot forget Lagadapati Rajagopal's pepper spray act in the Parliament during the passage of AP state reorganisation bill when the the UPA government planned to pass the bill closing the Parliament doors. 


Now the pepper spray case got a huge shock from the Supreme Court. Former Congress MP Ponnam Prabhakar filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking to file case against Lagadapati by Delhi police for his act in Lok Sabha on 14 Feb 2014.

Now a two member bench of Supreme Court comprising of Justice J. Chelameswar and Justice S. Abdul Nazeer dismissed the petition stating that  it was moved three years after the incident.
While hearing the case, the bench asked petitioner’s counsel K. Sravan Kumar about posting the case till after the summer vacation. While agreeing, counsel urged the court to issue notices to the respondents.


The bench after hearing the arguments stated that the petition was devoid of merits and liable for dismissal.
