Sources have stated that revolt against Telangana government by the distressed farmers has been intensified. It was stated that a 34 year farmer attempted suicide in front of the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's residence at the busy Panjagutta area yesterday morning.
Sources have stated that R Mallesh, hailed from Aluru village in Gattu mandal from Jogulamba district, came to the CM's camp office to meet KCR. The security forces deployed at the office denied the farmer from entering into the office premises.
Perturbed over not allowing him to meet the CM, Mallesh consumed poison he
brought and fell unconscious on the spot. Meanwhile the alerted police
immediately rushed the victim to the Gandhi hospital and his condition is
stated to be serious.
It may be mentioned here that farmers in Telangana are in restive mood as the failed to get remunerative prices to their agricultural produce. Chilli and Red Gram farmers took to the streets and staged dharnas against the government for not addressing their plights.
