3.  Army Ordnance Corps: GHMC finally submits report for alternative roads :  After a three-year exercise, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has recently submitted a detailed project report (DPR) to the municipal administration and urban development (MA&UD) department seeking financial assistance of Rs 115 crore to lay alternative roads around the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) Centre.

7.  Mercedes Benz team in Hyderabad to analyse Nishith crash :  A five-member team of Mercedes Benzcame to city on Thursday to analyse the road accident in which Andhra Pradesh minister P Narayana's son Nishith was killed.
8.  SP-rank officer to probe Bhongir couple case: Hyderabad high court :  The Hyderabad High Court on Thursday directed Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma to appoint a SP-rank officer to inquire into the whereabouts of Amboji Naresh and the alleged suicide of Tummala Swathi, the Bhongir couple who have been in the news after their marriage ended in tragedy.
9.  Marks moderation: CBSE should have alerted students early, say parents :  The Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) decision to not 'moderate' or 'standardise' the results of the Class XII examination has evoked mixed response in the city.

Andhra Pradesh
1.  Neeru-Chettu works: Rs. 160 crore for E. G. :  A massive movement to increase ground water table has been taken up through Neeru - Chettu programme in East Godavari district with Rs. 160 crore, covering 1,630 works during this financial year, said Collector Kartikeya Misra.
2.   Bar Council member slams Nannaya varsity V-C :  AP State Bar Council member Muppalla Subbarao on Thursday asked Adikavi Nannaya University Vice-Chancellor M. Mutyala Naidu to seek an inquiry either by the CB-CID or the CBI into charges of corruption and irregularities against him as well as the university administration.
3.  Neeru-Pragathi to address water woes :  The State government’s initiative to realise a drought-free Rayalaseema region will commence with the inaugural of the ‘Neeru-Pragathi’ programme at Rompicherla mandal of Chittoor district, during Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s three-day visit, said Collector P.S. Pradyumna.
4.  PCC mourns former MLC :  The APCC mourned the death of former MLC Gidugu Surya Rao in Hyderabad on Thursday. He is the father of APCC general secretary Gidugu Rudraraju. In a press release here, PCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
5.  Bhumi puja for BJP Maha Sammelan :  Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas and other BJP leaders on Thursday performed ‘bhumi puja’ at Siddhartha Medical College grounds where the party’s ‘booth committee maha sammelan’ would be held on May 25. 
6.  Naidu: Disburse input subsidy from June 2 :  The State government will disburse input subsidy to farmers from June 2 and complete the exercise before June 8.
7.  GST: State objects to sharing MDR charges :  The State government has opposed the proposal that the States and the Centre should share the Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) charges.
8.  Healthy gesture by Chief Minister :  An eight-year-old boy, who underwent heart transplantation surgery, came all the way to Secretariat on Thursday to thank Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for extending assistance through NTR Vaidyaseva. Moved by this, Mr. Naidu sanctioned another Rs. 5 lakh for post-operation care.
9.  ICJ stay on execution of Jadhav hailed :  Forum of Legal Professionals president Kuppili Muralidhar on Thursday hailed the judgment of International Court of Justice staying the execution of former naval officer Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav till further orders.
10.  Snag hits power suppl in North Andhra :  Power supply was disrupted at several places due to a technical snag on Thursday as the city and other areas in North Andhra witnessed yet another sultry day.
