1.  'May approach court for Mecca Masjid talk' :  A doctor, who is also a TRS member, has said that he would have no option but to approach the court if permission was not given to him to speak at Mecca Masjid. 
2.  SIT seeks bail cancellation of one IS suspect :  A week after three alleged Islamic State sympathizers were booked under sedition charges, the sleuths of Special Investigation team (SIT) of Detective Department have approached Metropolitan Sessions Judge at Nampally for cancellation of bail for one of the accused involved in previous case.
3.  Farmer suicides rising under NDA regime: Rajiv Shukla :  Taking strong exception to the jailing and handcuffing of farmers by the TRS government in the state, AICC official spokesperson and MP Rajiv Shukla said the Congress will continue to fight for the farmers. He said under the NDA regime, suicides in the farm sector have increased.
4.  Court scans AP's sonography contract, slaps Rs 10K fine on health commissioner :  The judge slapped costs of `10,000 on the special commissioner of health and family welfare and directed him to pay it to the aggrieved contractor who came to the court following the cancellation of the contract he so painstakingly won in the long-drawn tender process.

9.  ECET qualified students protest, demand re-test citing technical glitches in exam :  Nearly 50 students staged a protest at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTU-H) on Monday demanding that the Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS-ECET) be re-conducted.
10.  Single Women Scheme takers below TRS expectations :  The response from the people to the Single Women pension scheme has shocked the TRS government. At a time when it anticipated more than four lakh applications and arranged funds of over 4,000 crore to disburse a monthly financial assistance of 1000 per woman, the response has puzzled officials.

1.  NDA least concerned about farmers: MP :  The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is least bothered about the farmer or the agriculture sector, Rajya Sabha Member from Karnataka B.K. Hariprasad has alleged.  Addressing a press conference at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan here on Monday.
2.  MLA insulted and humiliated me, says SI :  Tanuku MLA Arimilli Radhakrishna detained me for about seven hours in his home. I was forced to sit on floor and the public representative humiliated and insulted with his highhanded behaviour,” Iragavaram SI Srinivas said in his complaint. The Tanuku Rural police registered a case against Mr. Radhakrishna and his followers under Section 342 of IPC (wrongful confinement) and Sec. 
3.  Jagan consoles kin of slain leader :  Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy visited Cherukulapadu village in Krishnagiri mandal of Kurnool district on Monday and consoled the family members of YSR Congress Pathikonda constituency in charge Cherukulapadu Narayana Reddy and his aide Boya Sambasivudu, who were brutally murdered on Sunday.
4.  Slain leader’s wife blames Deputy CM :  Former Kurnool DCCB chairperson Cherukulapadu Sridevi Reddy accused Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy and the police of being responsible for the murder of her husband and YSR Congress Pathikonda in charge Cherukulapadu Narayana Reddy.
5.  2 held for looting temple ‘hundi’ :  Police on Monday arrested two youths who allegedly broke open the ‘hundi’ at the Jain Swetambar temple on Nehru road and decamped with Rs. 25,000 and also stole Rs. 4,500 from the electricity office at Joharapuram in Kurnool town.
6.  Utmost importance to law and order: Naidu :  Those who try to disturb law and order in the name of caste, creed or faction would not be spared, said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday.
7.  State govt. neglect will lead to desertification of Rayalaseema :  The Left parties have called for a ‘Rayalaseema Bandh’ on May 24 to protest against the State government’s alleged ‘perennial neglect’ of the region and ‘their attempts to suppress any form of dissent’ across the State.

10.  Hand over hawala case to CBI or ED :  CPI (M) State secretary Ch. Narasinga Rao has demanded that the money laundering case involving over Rs. 1,600 crore be handed over to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) or the CBI. He told the media here on Monday that the case was entrusted to the CID to shield politicians who used the network to flow their black money out of the country.
