Aurangabad sources have stated that the Republican Party of India (Athavale) chief minister Ramdas Athavale Narendra Modi government at the Center said Tuesday that Gorkshk are not above the law and if they see any illegal activity, they should alert the police. Athawale said, "There is no law, including gorocities, above the law. 



Therefore, if anyone thinks that illegal work is being done then instead of taking the law into its own hands, the police should give the information to the police. In response to another question, Athawale said that the Center and Maharashtra government are committed to the welfare of the farmers.

Meanwhile the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Athawal was talking to Aurangabad journalists. In response to a question, the Dalit leader said that it is unfortunate that the people who removed the slaughtered cows for their livelihood were being brutally killed. 



Furthermore regarding the political situation of his home state, Maharashtra, the leader of the RPI (A) said that he is fully convinced that the coalition government headed by Devendra Fadnavis will complete his term.  Athawale said, "BJP is 14-15 seats away from the majority (in the Assembly) and if the coalition partner withdraws support from the Shiv Sena, then I will meet the Chief Minister and tell them that they will not go for the mid-term elections."
