6.  Army kills 2 BAT attackers in Uri as it foils ambush by Pak troops on LoC :  The Army today avenged the May 1beheading of two of its security men by killing two terrorists of Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT), even as it foiled an attack in Uri by the group that's been accused of raids, assaults and brutality on the Line of Control (LoC).

8.  Bill seeking H-1B limits exemption for foreigners with US PhD introduced :  A bill has been re-introduced in the House of Representatives that seeks exemption for foreign-born persons with an American PhD in science, technology, engineering or mathematics from the limits on the number of employment-based green cards and H-1B visas awarded annually.
9.  Two Chinese fighters intercept US plane in South China Sea :  Two Chinese aircraft conducted an unprofessional intercept of a US Navy surveillance aircraft over the South China Sea, the Pentagon said on Friday, marking the second time in about a week that the US has complained about unsafe Chinese operations in the region.
10.  Will ban burqa as it stops vitamin D intake from sunlight: UK Independence Party :  The far-right UK Independence Party (UKIP) has pledged in its general election manifesto to ban the burqas or the full face veils in public places, citing among others a bizarre reason that they "prevent intake of essential vitamin D from sunlight".
