1.  K Chandrasekhar Rao gives go-ahead to recruit 20,000 staff in educational institutions :  In a major decision, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has issued orders to fill up 20,0000 posts in various educational institutions across the state, including 7,300 teacher posts in new residential schools for which a notification was already issued.
2.  End of Saudi ordeal: Saira Banu set to return on June 3; husband, agent booked :  Saira Banu, the 23-year-old woman from Shah Ali Banda who was allegedly sold to a sheik in Saudi Arabia, has been rescued.She will return to the city on June 3.
3.  Doctors urge women on infertility treatment to avoid fasting :  Women, who have conceived through assisted reproduction techniques, should avoid fasting during Ramzan.
4.  Old city has no old-age homes for senior citizens :  Strange it may sound, but the old city of Hyderabad does not have old-agehomes to take care of abandoned or poor senior citizens. 
5.  Chargesheet filed against goon Ayub Khan in fake passport case :  The Kamatipura police have filed a chargesheet against history-sheeter Ayub Khan and his associates, including two qazis, in a fake passport case.

9.  Pharmacies shut, people trek miles for drugs in Hyderabad :  With most retail pharmacy outlets in the city remain closed on Tuesday, in protest against the online sale of medicines, people caught in the midst of emergencies were left severely inconvenienced.
10.  Court rejects plea for accused's custody :  A local court on Tuesday rejected a petition moved by the Cyberabad police seeking custody of the three prime accused arrested in the 693-acre Miyapur land fraud case.


Andhra Pradesh
1.  Red sanders smugglers arrested :  The Piler rural police nabbed two red sanders smuggling operatives and seized two SUVs and eight logs in separate incidents in K.V. Palle and Yerravaripalem mandals on Tuesday.
2.  Be battle-ready, says Sajjala :  The YSR Congress has sounded the poll bugle well in advance and gave a call to the party cadres to be ready to take the party beyond the goalpost in the 2019 elections.
3.  Rs. 10 lakh donated :  Chairman of Annamacharya Education Trust Choppa Gangi Reddy on Tuesday donated Rs. 10 lakh to the TTD’s Nitya Annadanam Trust. The cheque for the amount was handed over to Tirumala based JEO K.S. Srinivasa Raju.
4.  CM should take up division of assets :  Amid a battery of Opposition leaders, Andhra Pradesh Pratyeka Hoda Sadhana Samiti convener Chalasani Srinivas, university professors, lecturers, women leaders and students kick-started the 96-hour fast, demanding that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu initiate division of assets as per the Andhra Pradesh.

8.  CM promises speedy action on house sites :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu promised to take speedy action on the long-pending issue of handing over of house sites to accredited journalists.
9.  State govt. rolls out scheme for civil services aspirants :  To translate its dream of grooming Andhra Pradesh into a knowledge hub, the government has rolled out NTR Vidyonnati, an educational scheme that envisages free coaching for civil services aspirants from not only SC,ST, BC and other minority communities but also for students who come from economically poor households among forward castes.
