4.  Police fail to make headway in Bahadurpura youth death :  Cops in Bahadurpura are finding it hard to crack the case of a suspicious death of a youth injured during a cricket match, despite zeroing in on six suspects who were playing along with the deceased.

9.  Hyderabad airport on growth runway, passenger flow takes 22% leap :  RGIA authorities said, in 2016-17 overall passenger traffic shot up approximately 22% to 15.24 million from 12.49 million in 2015-16. Of this, domestic passengers accounted for 1,19,36,975 and international passengers were 33,03,093.
10.  Parents hail CBSE move to seek fee data from schools :  The decision of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to seek data from private schools about their fee structure and hike in the recent years has been welcomed by city parents. They feel that this move will, to some extent, regularise the otherwise unmonitored fee hike imposed by schools.


Andhra Pradesh
1.  Mega road project set to take off soon: Minister :  Minister for Industries N. Amarnatha Reddy on Monday said the ambitious Rs. 500-crore project of a four-lane road between Srikalahasti and Tada would be taken up on a war footing soon, with a mission to boost the industrial potential of Chittoor district following the growing importance of the Vizag-Chennai-Bengaluru industrial corridor.
2.  Naidu asks cadre to counter Congress :  The success of AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting in Guntur seems to have set the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) thinking if party supremo and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s directions to the party cadre were any indication. 
3.  CM wants every raindrop saved :  In view of weathermen forecasting that monsoon will be fairly well distributed across Andhra Pradesh, the State government is gearing up to save every raindrop this season.
4.  TDP hits out at Congress on public meeting :  The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) continued its tirade against the Congress on Monday too alleging that AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s visit was no better than the devil quoting scripture.
5.  'Use drone cameras to keep tab on govt. lands' :  HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao on Monday discussed with senior district officials about the Daspalla land scam and alleged irregularities in Land Pooling Scheme in Mudapaka of Pendurthy mandal and directed them to use drone cameras to keep a tab on the government lands.
6.  Towards zero fatal accidents ‘Towards Zero,’ the two-and-a-half minute film directed by Voleti Srinivas, a Motor Vehicle Inspector working in the city, features no blood, usage of mobile while driving or an accident scene, but gets closer to the viewer as a series of questions on fatal road accidents are raised.
7.  New V-C takes charge :  V. Damodar Naidu, a senior plant pathologist who has discovered 20 registered rice varieties, took charge as Vice-Chancellor of Acharya N.G Ranga Agricultural University on Monday. He has more than 40 research publications to his credit.
8.  Safeguarding nature is everyone’s duty :  Elucidating on the importance of protecting the environment in the present context, Industries Minister N. Amarnath Reddy called for concerted efforts with respect to conservation aspects and opined that it was everyone’s responsibility to safeguard the nature.
9.  Minister promises daily water supply in Bandar from next week :  Law and Youth Welfare Minister Kollu Ravindra on Monday promised drinking water supply in the town on a regular basis from next week. 
10.  Heavy rain hits life :  Heavy rain accompanied by gale brought some respite from the oppressive heat but brought down hoardings and trees on the arterial roads, including the Kurnool Road and Trunk Road, and snapped power supply in different parts of the city on Monday evening.
