1.  Telangana government to provide free school transport to 17,000 students :  Soon, over 17,000 students living in localities that have no schools will be able to avail free transport to reach their institutes. Under the Right to Education Act, 2009, Telangana school education department will offer the facility to 17,619 students living in 1,404 localities in larger towns and cities without schools during the 2017-18 academic year.
2.  Hyderabad restaurant asked to refund service charge, pay fine :  Cracking the whip on a famous restaurant chain -Ohri's Group of Hotels -for levyingservice charge, a district consumer forum directed the group to not only refund the amount collected from a customer but also cough up an additional compensation of Rs 5,000.
3.  Body of man who died after clinical trial exhume :  Sudden death of a man who underwent a clinical trial at a Bengaluru lab, police exhumed his body for an autopsy to establish the cause.
4.  Dowry slur on Hyderabad techie: Banker wife hangs herself after SMS :  A female employee of Bank of America(BOA) committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling at Sudharshan Nagar, Gachibowli on Sunday evening. The victim took the extreme step due to the alleged harassment by her husband who was demanding additional dowry. She sent an SMS to her husband informing that she was committing suicide.
5.  Avoid short cuts, says SCR GM :  SCR General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav on Monday instructed officials to take corrective action and avoid short-cut methods to ensure optimal standards of safety at a meeting held with principal heads of all departments of the six divisions.
6.  TRS charged with anti-farmer policies :  On Monday, P.Sugunakar Rao     charged the TRS government of not implementing the farmers’ welfare schemes such as PM Fazal Bheema Yojana, driven by political motives.
7.  Release annual credit plan: Ponnam :  TPCC vice-president and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar has flayed the State Government for not taking any measures for the release of annual credit plan in the newly formed districts to ensure that banks provide loans to the farming community to take up cultivation in kharif. 
8.  Justice P.N. Bhagwati remembered :  The Bench and Bar of Hyderabad High Court on Monday recalled the contribution of Justice P. N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India, who passed away last week, and paid rich tributes.
9.  Pranab to open World Divine Congress :  President Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate the global strategic alliance (GSA) World Divine Congress here on June 23.
10.  Rain leads to spurt in viral diseases in Hyderabad :  Frequent rains over the last week have caused a spurt in viral diseases, mainly mosquito and water-borne, doctors reveal.


Andhra Pradesh
1.  A ray of hope for RTC :  The private bus operators are said to have registered some of the buses in their fleet to save on taxes and the ease of registration in those States. The starting or ending point of route operated by the buses, registered in other states, has to invariably be in the home state. RTC can now hope for a level playing field at least for sometime.
2.  TDP seeks YSRC cooperation for unanimous election in Nandyal :  TDP central disciplinary committee member Somisetty Venkateswarlu, who took over as Kurnool district TDP president on Monday, appealed to Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to cooperate for unanimous election of TDP candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy from Nandyal constituency in the ensuing by-election.
3.  Ensure crop loans to farmers: Congress :  Congress party leaders took out a rally from Ambedkar Statue on Trunk Road to the Collectorate here on Monday demanding that the government take steps to ensure sanction of crop loans to farmers by bankers for the current season.
4.  Villagers oppose setting up of ‘waste-to-energy’ plant :  Expressing their apprehensions over the functioning of the proposed ‘waste-to-energy’ plant, representatives of C. Ramapuram village have asserted that they would oppose the facility if it is set up in their vicinity.
5.  GST will bring down land, property prices: Venkaiah :  Union Minister for Housing, Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information and Broadcasting M. Venkaiah Naidu said here on Monday the Goods and Services Tax (GST) would bring down the cost of land and the property prices which would help millions in realising the dream of owning a house.
6.  Complete Benz Circle flyover in 18 months: CM :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday instructed the officials concerned to call bids in July for construction of the flyover at Benz Circle in two phases: Jyoti Mahal to Nirmala Convent Junction and from there to Ramesh Hospitals junction.
7.  CM launches improved Kaizala app : Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu suggested to Microsoft Vice-President Rajiv Kumar to develop Kaizala mobile app ‘A.P CM Connect’ into a two-way interactive tool to facilitate direct interaction with the people on a regular basis.
8.  Modi blamed for plight of tribals, farmers :  Three years of the Narendra Modi government has led to severe resentment among tribals and farmers across the country forcing them to hit the streets with protest marches following dilution of welfare policies, CPI(M) polit bureau member Brinda Karat said on Monday.
9.  No ground for TDP protest: YSRC : Expressing readiness for inclusion of its leaders for a CBI probe into the land scandals in Visakhapatnam district, YSRC saw no logic in TDP planning a ‘Mahasankalpam’ on the day of the Opposition’s ‘Maha dharna.’
10.  Congress firm on CBI probe into land scam :  Addressing a press conference at Indira Bhavan, Mr. Raghuveera Reddy said the Governor should ensure that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a thorough inquiry into the scam. The inquiry should be supervised by a sitting judge.
