The popular Uber taxi service has met with this black mark.An Uber taxi driver has been locked behind bars for allegedly misbehaving with a woman IT professional. The police said the 32-year-old driver was arrested based on a complaint from 'Prathidhwani,' a socio-cultural outfit especially for the Technopark IT employees.
The lady also filed a complaint against him and the Uber replied with an apology letter with an assurance that it will not be repeated.But the lady took it to file a police complaint as it will rattle other molesters too.The lady complained telling that the taxi driver was trying to befriend him and all of a sudden he pulled her legs. He was booked under section 119 (a) of the Kerala Police Act and the police is probing over the issue.
Prathidhwani' sources said they took up the matter so serious as the woman did not want to publish her identity but wanted to make sure that no other woman faces such a molest.
