Chandrababu Naidu government now turns deaf to farmers plea.As per the Government Act, the government has to call and gather for meetings with the farmers and record their views and objections, for acquiring the lands owned by them. If the majority two-thirds of the farmers oppose for the land acquisition, the government cannot take action over their lands.
The farmers of these surrounding villages,lead YSR Congress party MLA from Mangalagiri Alla Ramakrishna Reddy who fuels them, have denied to surrender their agricultural lands to the government for land pooling scheme.
But the Naidu government invoked the Land Acquisition Act, 2013 to forcely acquire their agricultural lands, but the farmers were kindled by this act of Naidu are strongly resisting the government’s move.Ramakirshna Reddy in the gathering asked the respective officials to record the farmers statements but he vented in rage when they refused to listen to him.Ramakrishna Reddy he shouted at them and upturned the table on the dais.A huge ruckus was created and The police entered the scene and took the situation under control.
