1.  Telangana-Fiber to be turned into private firm :   The Telangana government has decided to establish T-Fiber as a private limited company under the Companies Act 2013. T-Fiber, also known as Telangana Fiber Grid Project.
2.  Taakis' razed, turned into swanky commercial bldgs :  Popularly known as taakis, single screen theatres of the Old City are fast becoming a rarity in the area south of Musi river. With several being either demolished, largely abandoned or turned into swanky commercial complexes, residents, who are film aficionados, have few options left in the Old City.
3.  Mutation in Asian strain of zika virus worries medical fraternity :  In a cause for concern, the Asian strain of the zika virus has mutated. It's only last month that the World Health Organisation (WHO) confirmed the presence of the zika virus in India. That the virus has mutated has come as a major challenge to the health planners and scientists involved in zika research.
4.  Sushma Swaraj assures help to Telangana woman jailed in Saudi Arabia :  External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj has assured help to an Indian woman from Telangana who has been jailed in Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh.
5.  Telangana decides to move GST Council with 35 issues that need 'urgent' attention :  The Goods and Services Tax regime set for nation-wide roll out on July 1, is expected to leave Telangana dissatisfied. The state has repeatedly taken to the notice of the GST Council in the run up to the GST roll out that it has a list of 35 items that need immediate attention and exemptions or changes in the GST rates.
6.  Close all open borewells by July 10: Governmemnt :  The state government on Wednesday issued an ultimatum to borewell owners to fill up and close open borewells before July 10 failing which the government will impose a fine of 50,000 and book a case of negligence against them.
7.  After froth, residents face water shortage :  Close to 48 hours after toxic foam erupted from a weir at the Ramakrishna Puramlake, residents of the 14 colonies around the lake complain of a severe water crisis.
8.  Spurious seed gang busted, 4 arrested :  In a major crackdown, Rachakonda police and their Mahabubnagar counterparts on Wednesday arrested four persons for allegedly selling and distributing spurious cotton seeds and cheating farmers of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
9.  'Triple threats' loom large, doctors call for test facilities :  With American and Chinese scientists reporting a 'triple disease threat' from the Aedes aegypti mosquito last month, doctors in city emphasise need for special diagnostic kits to identify the presence of various viruses in blood samples of patients.
10.  Furniture dealers hit the streets to protest 28% GST :  The Telangana Furniture Manufacturers & Dealers Association here on Wednesday took out a rally against the proposed Goods and Services(GST) tax to be applicable from July 1.


Andhra Pradesh
1.  Water released to Krishna Western Delta :  Prospects of a normal kharif were raised on Wednesday after Minister for Irrigation Devineni Umamaheswara Rao released water into Krishna Western Delta (KWD).
2.  Naidu takes charge as Guntur Rural SP :  Ch. Venkat Appala Naidu, an IPS officer of 2011 batch, took charge as Superintendent of Police, Guntur Rural, here on Wednesday. Mr. Naidu had earlier worked as Additional Superintendent of Police, Guntur Urban and OSD in Vizianagaram district.
3.  Implement SC order on highway liquor ban  :  Taking inspiration from the anti-liquor movement which spread across the State from nondescript Dubagunta village in the 1990’s, anti-liquor activists are gearing up for a relentless struggle to ensure implementation of the Supreme Court order on closure of liquor shops on highways in letter and spirit.
4.  ‘TDP govt. turns State into real estate venture’ :  Former ministers Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Dharmana Prasada Rao on Wednesday alleged that the TDP government had turned Andhra Pradesh into a real estate venture to create maximum wealth for the TDP leaders and workers.
5.  Lokesh meets big names in field of mobiles :  Minister for Information Technology and Communications N. Lokesh met Indian Cellular Association (ICA) president Pankaj Mohindroo along with Principal Secretary (IT) K. Vijayanand and other senior officials of the IT, Electronics and Communications (ITE&C) Department of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) in New Delhi on Wednesday.
6.  British High Commissioner meets Naidu, visits Assembly :  British High Commissioner to India Sir Dominic Anthony Gerard Asquith met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday and discussed the interests of British companies to invest in Amaravati.
7.  Vizag Port to handle Maersk Line vessels manually :  Visakha Container Terminal Private Ltd, one of the BOT operators of the Visakhapatnam Port Trust, will handle Maersk Line vessels manually following crippling of software systems used by AP Moller-Maersk following new ransomware cyberattack named Petya.
8.  GST: textile traders’ plea to CM :  Representatives of the AP Textile Federation (APTF) met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday and urged him to prevail upon the Centre to exempt textiles from the Goods and Services Tax (GST) purview.
9.  SIT a toothless tiger: Opposition :  The opposition parties on Wednesday came down heavily on the SIT, terming it a ‘toothless tiger.’ CPI(M) State secretariat member Ch Narasinga Rao said here that the SIT had been empowered only to inquire and not investigate. 
10.  ‘Congress will contest in Nandyal’ :  The Congress will field a candidate in the Nandyal byelections “as things stand”, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president N. Raghuveera Reddy said on Wednesday.
