Microsoft said that it is now in the process of cutting old jobs as it is reorganising its global sales operations.They have informed their employees about this job cutting process this month through emails.
These job cut off come as the tech giant focuses on software, shifting to cloud computing, automation and business services.Global Equities analyst Trip Chowdry said that this is not the end and it is just the transitioning from the old world to the new world.Lay off may accelerate but super techies in the cloud computing will always be in demand.
Microsoft said that its revenue soared high to 11 percent in Intelligent Cloud compared to the previous year. Microsoft's cloud platform, Azure faces tough competition from technology powerhouses giants like Amazon and Google.The technology giant cut 7,800 jobs in 2015, and 4,700 last year.Stay tuned for IT updates here.
