Sources have stated that Telangana police have currently intensified investigation into drug smuggling that came to light after the arrest of two college going students in Hyderabad and arrested a noted Telugu film producer in connection with the case.
According to Sources it was stated that the state Excise and Prohibition enforcement officials have taken the film producer into their custody from his residence in Banjara Hills and grilling him since Thursday morning. The producer had reportedly bought banned drugs from the peddlers. It is learnt that the producer also used to go Goa frequently and consumed drugs during his stay.
Meanwhile the police said they recovered 14 LSD
drug packets from the producer and questioning him about the source of supply
of drugs to him. The producer will be arrested after completing interrogation.
The police officials are making further investigations to identify if there is
any other culprit behind the scenario.
