To make clear of the GST and to avoid the unnecessary exploitation of the consumers by traders, the union government has launched a new 'GST Rates Finder' mobile app.
The particular app will help consumers to find accurate and precise prices of each good they buy in any store in the country. TheGS rates finder mobile app can be downloaded from the usual Google Play store. It will also be available on Android mobiles and it is under designing process and will soon be available on iOS platform. The mobile app can be downloaded on any smartphone and it also works in offline mode. This app helps you to find out GST rate for a good or a service by just entering the name or chapter under which the commodity or service.
Apart from the 'GST Rates Finder' mobile app, users who need to know accurate details about goods can also log on to Central Board of Excise and Customs website where it is published to know different rates of GST as CBEC.The Union Finance Ministry said it has also provided a GST rate finder on its portal http://cbec-gst.gov.in to help honest taxpayers know applicable GST rate on their supplies in a statement.
