Kashmir’s top cop Muneer Khan received a letter on June 27 warning of these terrorists attack and  plan on Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims to provoke communal tensions inside the state , asking security forces to remain hawk-eyed.

Inspite of the warning given, Seven pilgrims were attacked and killed on Monday night when terrorists unexpectedly opened fire  at a bus-full of devotees who were peacefully returning from the Baltal  in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

“Intelligence input received from SSP Anantnag reveals that terrorists have been ordered to fire  100 to 150 pilgrims and kill 100 police officers and officials,” said inspector general Khan.He also said he shared the warning letter with the Central Reserve Police Force and the range DIGs in the border state.The warning letter was sent two days before the 40-day annual pilgrimage started.
