As expected and widely anticipated, it is being said that AP CM Kiran Kumar Reddy had reportedly spoken at length on the aspect of how Maoists can make a comeback in AP if Telangana state is granted. But sources say that forget about Maoists entering the fray after a separate state is granted, they are almost now getting ready to strike in the region in support of Telangana state.
Kiran had rightly said that it took nearly 25 years for AP to eliminate the threat of Maoist elements in the state and warned Congress leadership that in case separate state is granted then there are chances that this may be revived but at the same time Congress leaders like Madhu Yashki Goud has clearly warned that Naxal attacks will grow in Telangana.
They state this would happen if political leadership fails to fulfill the wishes of the people here and they may seek the support of naxals for achieving statehood. Even Telangana activists say that in case even this time Telangana fails to materialize then the violent phase may start, like in 1969. This will be a concern.
