According to report from sources it was stated that Telangana Excise and Prohibition Enforcement Director Akun Sabharwal, who busted the drug racket in Hyderabad, has been receiving threat calls from smugglers from across the world.
Sources have reported that Akun received a call from Africa from an unidentified phone number and was threatened if the IPS official did not stop probing into the racket. The official was also threatened that his children will be abducted.
Meanwhile the police department already launched investigation into the threat calls receiving by Akun for the last one week. The senior IPS official had been busy interrogating the film personalities who allegedly involved in the drug racket in Hyderabad.
