Sources have stated that the film director Ram Gopal Varma's derogatory comments against Excise and Prohibition Director Akun Sabharwal received a strong reaction from Telangana government.
Meanwhile following ongoing investigation into the drug racket by Akun, Varma posted some comments on social media on the senior IPS official. He asked Akun whether the college students whose names figured in the drug racket will be grilled like the film personalities jailed virtually all through the day during investigation.
Earlier Varma also made comment that Akun will be hero in Rajamouli's Bahubali 3. He took strong exception for leaking the names of film personalities through media. Moreover in a quick response, Excise Commissioner Chandravadan tweeted and warned Verma for the latter's comments.
He clarified the government is investigating the case sincerely and no one will be spared. Government did not target film personalities. The official suggested Verma stop questioning the credibility of Excise department.
