The Telugu Desam-led Andhra Pradesh government has withdrawn or in other words deleted 23 criminal cases against its party politicians belonging to the ruling party from the day it came to power. They include right from ministers, MLAs to MLCs.Few cases like the withdrawal of prosecution for Samaiky-Andhra cases may be justified with a reason.It might be done pertaining to election offenses but what about the other serious offenses??they  are controversial.

A case of molestation and blood hurt against Minister K. Atchannaidu and a murder case attempt to murder against minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao have been silently withdrawn by the AP  state government.


Taking Law Into Its Own Hands, AP Govt Drops Criminal Cases Against 23 TDP Leaders 



Deputy Chief Ministers K.E. Krishnamurthy and, Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao N. Chinarajappa, ministers Kollu Ravindra Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, , and Nakka Anand Babu are the ones who were not in the charges list.Else all of them were all facing charges that were withdrawn by the home department.A group of judges are now questioning this silent dirty action of the state government. Retired high court judges,  Chandra Kumar,P. Lakshmana Reddy  and former RTI Commissioner P. Vijaya Babu have decided to bring it to the limelight regarding   the withdrawal of prosecutions against politicians in the State of AP.  Justice P Lakshmana Reddy said, “In around 23 cases in the state of AP, criminal cases have been withdrawn silently  against politicians, ministers, MLAs by the AP government.”
