Sources have stated that July 26 is celebrated as the anniversary of India's victory in the 1999 Kargil war against Pakistan. Meanwhile Adityanath also announced that the Uttar Pradesh Sainik School here will be named after Kargil martyr and Paramvir Chakra awardee Captain Manoj Pandey.
He said "The state government will extend every help possible to the families of those who sacrificed their lives for the country". Moreover Governor Ram Naik, who was also present, paid floral tributes to the Kargil martyrs.
