Subhas Chandra Bose has been very consistent throughout in his struggle and his demand for political independence by virtue of complete freeing from the British.But According to Mahatma's struggle, removing British was not the major part of the struggle.
Actually, Gandhi fought the landowners in Champaran, for basic women rights, for rights of the minority, for the economy of the village economies and demanded self respect. Gandhi in his mind knew that removing British is not the single hardest challenge India had. Gandhi actually never really pressed much for independence until 1942. For Bose, removing British was biggest challenge.Bose with his stirring speech and that force won the hearts of educated Indian youth.
But in most parts of India he was not greatly recognised.It was only Mahatma's all-encompassing movement tha tconverged north,east, west, south of India together into one nation.Without Mahatma's movement India would have split into a 100 divisions post-partition.In this way Mahatma with his Ahimsa brought all the Indian's together as one nation and a together force
