Political equations have changed in TDP in Rayachoti segment. Ex-MLA and TDP senior leader Palakonda Rayudu and his son Subramanyam are not interested in TDP activities and in local body elections in Rayachoti.
TDP wants to get back Ramesh Reddy into TDP who exists currently in Congress party for Rayachoti. Ramesh Reddy seeks Rayachoti Ticket in 2009 elections but CBN offered Rajampet MP Ticket and Rayachoti to Palakonda Rayudu. Both of them were defeated in 2009 elections. Ramesh Reddy confirmed that he couldn’t get TDP ticket in Rayachoti because of Palakonda Rayudu. Ramesh Reddy joined in Congress Party due to having good relations with CM Kiran Kumar Reddy. In 2012 bye-elections too Ramesh Reddy missed Rayachoti when Congress gave ticket Ram Prasad Reddy. Now TDP wants to bring back with giving assurance on Rayachoti Ticket.
After losing Rayachoti to YSRCP in 2012 bye-elections Palakonda Rayudu family maintain silent in party activities. They haven’t digested the attitude of CBN. Even in local bodies also Palakonda Rayudu family isn’t participated actively. As per political sources Rayudu family is seeking to join in Congress. TDP’s woes continue in Kadapa.
